Gazebo Installation
This beautiful gazebo with swing, ceiling fan and lighting was installed at a home in Pittsboro. S&W Consulting managed the project from start to finish. This included working with the owner to choose an ideal location, ordering materials, performing site preparation and scheduling the delivery and setup of the gazebo. Sub-contractors were utilized for the concrete slab, electrical wiring, setup and delivery.

Retaining Wall Design and Installation
The construction of a new home and driveway had threatened the root structure of three mature hardwoods. A professional arborist recommended that the homeowners install a retaining wall to protect the roots and prevent further erosion. S&W Consulting handled this project from beginning to end, with no sub-contractors. The first stage involved working closely with the owners to design the wall, matching the stone used on another part of the property. S&W then got to work digging the footer, placing gravel for the base of the wall, carefully laying the wall stones, backfilling the wall for optimum drainage and preparation for landscaping.

Driveway Drainage Improvements
A steep, downhill driveway was causing drainage problems around the home from run-off. S&W Consulting worked with the homeowner to design a trench system to control rainwater and divert it away from the house. S&W performed all work for this project including a site elevation with depths for catch basins, drain lines to carry water away from the driveway and home, ditch digging and gravel filling. To slow rainwater and reduce erosion, the catch basin was covered with riprap stone along both sides of the driveway. In front of the house, water would puddle on the sidewalk and yard. Another catch basin was installed to divert water in this area, and drain to the rear of the property.
